1. Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie?  
This is probably the hardest question because as it nears Christmas time, pretty much the only movies I watch are Christmas related. I would have to go with Elf, Home Alone, Love Actually and The Holiday. 




2. What Are Your Favorite Christmas Colours? 
Red, gold and silver.

3. Christmas Traditions? 
I tend to spend the day in pyjamas as I lounge up while opening presents and watch Christmas movies. Then dress up all fancy at night for a festive dinner.
It's basically a day of laughs with my closest family and friends.

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be? 
That would have to be my mum. During Christmas time, I try to give back to her as much as possible for everything that she has ever done for me. 

5. What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break? 
Christmas shopping. I just love roaming shopping centres, all the Christmas decoration and fairy lights. Choosing gifts for loved ones are one of my highlights of Christmas, it makes me really excited and grateful.


6. Any Christmas Wishes? 
I really hope everyone stays safe during the Christmas break and return to school or work with joyful memories. I also hope that the upcoming year will bring lots of fun adventures.

7. Favourite Christmas Smell? 
Gingerbread. Gingerbread men. Gingerbread candles. Just gingerbread.

8. What is your favourite Christmas song?
No matter how many times I listen to Michael Buble's Christmas album I still find myself playing it on repeat during the Christmas season. It just never gets old! My last blog post was my Christmas playlist, so check it out if you're interested in more festive music.

9. Favourite holiday food/sweet?
All baked goods and pumpkin spiced lattes.

10, What makes the Christmas holidays special for you? 
Being able to spend time with family and friends. Personally, I love the idea of how so many people gather celebrate one occasion. But nonetheless, I think of Christmas as a time of appreciating, reflecting and giving back to people around you and to those not as fortunate.

Guys, there's only 2 weeks left until Christmas time! Time seriously does go by fast. Along with Christmas decoration, tree, mugs and parties, for me, music is one of the most vital elements for Christmas. Every year around mid November I find myself bringing out the festive music to get in the spirit. Singing Christmas carols always bring back memories of singing carols at church during the younger years and always put a smile on my face.

Makes 12 cookies

Ingredients: 

• One tablespoon of cacao powder
• 1 ¼ cup of oats
• ⅔ cup of peanut butter 
• 2 tablespoons of milk (I used almond milk)
• 1 egg
• Teaspoon of salt 
• 3 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
• Teaspoon of vanilla essence 
• ½ cup of raisins or dark chocolate chips 

Hey there! I know, I haven't been particularly frequent with my blog posts, but I guess that I've just been in the kind of mood where you just want to sit and do nothing. But don't worry, I've jotted down all blog ideas that have come to mind!

Here is my simple recipe for an easy homemade granola breakfast (although I've found myself eating this as a snack as well) that can be made beforehand. It's delicious, filling and is much healthier than all those processed cereals found in the supermarkets.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of rolled oats
• Teaspoon of vanilla essence 
• ¼ cup of raisins 
• 3 tablespoons of olive oil/coconut oil 
• ½ cup of honey 
• Teaspoon of salt 
• ¼ cup of crushed almonds 

• Any vegetables of your choice. 
• Olive oil 
• Soy Sauce or salt
• Egg
• Pita pocket (I used wholemeal)

04. Add soy sauce or salt in to taste.

Hello! Today marks the first post of my 'motivational monday' series. I've seen popular blogs such as Sprinkle of Glitter and Move Nourish Believe participate in this series and I absolutely love the idea. For a lot of people, myself included, Monday's are basically the start of stress and the inability to sleep in, so a little motivation at the beginning of the week adds a little bit of excitement for the week ahead. I can't promise I will be able to write a post every single week, but I'll try my best.

And yes, I do realise that the title of today's post is a High School Musical reference, and I love it.


No matter who we are, where we live, or any other different factors that differentiate a person, at some point in our lives we will experience something new. Whether it's a new school, new job, moving new houses, the list could literally go on forever, you've all experienced it. Now for different people, the thought of starting something new is different. There are some people who are just so open and comfortable with starting new things who simply fit right in. But for others, like myself, it's quite a struggle, having to deal with a new situation and social surroundings. And that's perfectly fine! There's nothing wrong with it! I've learnt to realise that no matter who you are, you will get nervous.

You might enter the room feeling anxious that people won't enjoy your company, and you look around feeling alone because everyone else looks really layed back and relaxed. Well, I'm sure that the majority of people are experiencing the same as you. As impossible as it sounds, you just have to learn to embrace and appreciate feeling nervous and anxious because we're humans. Feeling nervous is absolutely natural and normal.

Although, I understand times when feeling nervous does get a bit out of control. Struggling to breathe, extreme redness of the face and stuttering when talking are all common symptoms of feeling nervous.

What do I do in these situations?

• Find a space where I can temporarily escape the situation such as the bathroom or just step out of the room. 
• Close my eyes. 
• Take a few deep breathes to calm my heart rate and just clear my mind. 
• Splash a bit of cold water onto my face and neck.
• Link about the logic behind it. Things like 'your heart is just pumping more blood around your body' and 'everyone's feeling the same way,' might sound stupid but by altering my way of thinking, my stress levels to decrease. 

- Hand full of almonds
- 1 cup of oats
- 1 cup of wholemeal flour
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable, coconut)
- ½ a cup of honey, agave or maypole syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- ½ a cup of raisins

01. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit and move the rack to the middle shelf.

02. Blend the almonds and oats up in a blender until is becomes a flour like consistency. You can do this separately or together.

03. Mix dry ingredients together.

04. Mash bananas up in a separate bowl. Then add other wet ingredients and mix together. You may blend it instead if you wish.

05. Mix both the wet and dry ingredients together. The consistency should be quite thick. Then throw in the raisins and mix together.

06. Aline your baking tin with parchment paper or smear with butter.

07. Place the mixture into the dish and place the dish into the oven for 45-60 minutes.

08. After 45 minutes check on the bread, by sticking a skewer or knife into it. If the skewer comes out with no reside then it is ready. If not, leave it in for longer and check on it every 5-10 minutes.

09. Let it cool than eat and enjoy (although I like the taste of it when its warm).

Nivea Irresistibly Smooth Body Lotion 

Though out the cooler months, this body lotion has kept my body nice and smooth. I love that this body lotion doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky and leaves a lovely scent, which does fade quite quickly after being absorbed into the skin. This has left my skin feeling moisturised and healthy looking for the whole of winter. This was definitely a worth purchase of only $3!

Yes to Carrots Colour Balm - Peachy Keen

My lips always tend to be dry and crackly, so for me, lip balm is always an essential. My favourite this month is the Yes to Carrots Colour Balm in Peachy Keen. This lip balm leaves a really subtle pinky shade and is quite moisturising for the lips.

Frankie

I've heard so many people rave about the Frankie magazine via Instagram and Tumblr and I had never read until a few weeks ago. The photography of this magazine is absolutely divine and it's basically a collection of Instagram photo's. I enjoy reading this magazine while eating my breakfast in the morning and just before bed at night because I just find that the content of Frankie really calming.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer

After being left on my shelf for a good old year, I've finally chosen to read this book. This book is a tragical, hilarious and incredibly moving book following the journey of a 9 year old boy as he searches for the opening of a key, belonging to his father whom had died during 9/11. I'm excited to see the movie featuring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullocks, as I always enjoy comparing my vision when reading the book with movies. What I love the most about this book is that is doesn't follow the rules of a basic novel, the layout and design is of its own nature, and I love it!

Denim Jacket

Throughout all of autumn and winter, this denim jacket has been my staple piece of clothing. I've pretty much been throwing this jacket on top of all my outfits to add warmth and a casual vibe. My autumn and winter wardrobe is composed of mostly dark colours, so this jacket adds a bit of extra colour and jazzes up every outfit.
